Christina Lowe is Miss Utah 2010
Christina Lowe is one of the fortunate women who are selected as a Miss Utah. She was selected among 50 most talented women from the state and got the crown of the new Miss Utah for 2010 on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Lowe was crowned by Whitney Merrifield the previous Miss Utah 2009.The purpose of pageant contest is to create a platform to promote a noble cause of the winner during the whole year of her service, instead of just dancing and singing half or fully naked.
Lowe’s performance was astonishing in four-day event. At many categories she proved her talent. She sang “I Believe” from the 2010 Winter Olympics by Nikki Yanofsky. She earned a double take in her glittery black gown with silver line. She won the heart and mind of the people when she expressed her thoughts. She said “To be confident in who you are, you don’t need to be big or try to be perfect. The best person you can ever be is your best self.” She also said “it’s exciting,” Lowe said. “I mean, it’s a lot to take in because I realize there’s a lot of responsibility. It’s a lot to carry.
Now she is working zealously as she expressed in her speech that “I grew up in a patriotic home, so it was interesting to have that background, she also said that “my mother and father instilled in me an appreciation for my country. With the miss America program, works nicely” and now as she said, she is working and increasing the awareness for the voter registration and the power of the vote though UVote campaign, which she launched on her own. Her campaign has already registered thousands of new voters. She is also encouraging masses to become the part of politics.
She is also an official spokesperson for child protection registry, which is an organization dedicated to create awareness and protection from adult-oriented solicitation. Everyday Lowe is riding the new vehicles which are sponsored by Murdock Hyundai. Lowe was also given the keys to a 2011 silver Genesis as the part of her title. Lowe is doing her job effectively and traveling thousands of miles by entire country tour.
Christina Lowe has intended to participate in the Miss American pageant in Las Vegas on January 15 which will be broadcast on the ABC television network. For the very reason she will off another year from her studies at UVU. At Miss America pageant she will have to beat 50 women from all over the United States of America.
