Tip number one – you want to know the four C’s. The four C’s are the basics that allow you to make the right decision when the time comes to buy a diamond pinky ring and they are the cut, the clarity, the color, and the carat.

Tip number four – the color. To put it simply, the more yellowish a diamond is, the less money it will be worth, and the whiter it is the more money it will be worth.

One thing you want to avoid is artificially colored diamonds. So for example, pink, blue, or even green diamonds are available. But, the thing is that the naturally colored diamonds are really, really rare. So that means that they are really expensive. So if you want to have a cheaper colored diamond ring, they’re going to sell you an artificially colored diamond ring, and you want to stay away from them as they will lose color after a while.

The fifth tip is the carat. The carat is basically only the weight of the diamond itself, but you want to avoid getting caught by the carat total weight scam. This is where they will say this pinky diamond ring is three carat. So you think wow, that’s a huge diamond, but they actually include the weight of the setting and the band and of the diamond in the three carat. So what you want to make sure is when you buy for example, the one carat diamond ring that it’s only the weight of the diamond.

And the eighth tip is you can buy your diamond ring online. Why? Because you’re going to have a lot more choices than if you buy from your local jewelry store and you will save money.
