Home Remedies for Cough

1. Ginger is an effective cough remedy. It inhibits throat irritation. One may consume few freshly grated ginger pieces daily to get relief from cough.
2. Chewing of holy basil leaves also helps to manage the annoying cough.
3. Taking two teaspoon of slightly warm honey is an effective home remedy for cough.
4. A concoction prepared by boiling ginger and garlic extracts and clove in water is very effective for treating cough. The syrup may be taken thrice a day for good results.
5. One or two cloves may be kept in mouth and gently sucked to avoid throat irritation followed by a paroxysm of cough.
