Leinart’s Irritation Continues to Rise in NFL Odds
NFL Football Gambling probabilities oddsmakers stay cynical about the 2nd chance of Matt Leinart as the starting quarterback of the Cardinals and his ability to beat the NFL gambling probabilities. When Leinart was demoted to 2nd string for preseason action, NFL probabilities preparation for Arizona took a perhaps spectacular swing last week with the NFL gambling probabilities.
Derek Anderson, who arrived at Arizona after bombing out with the Cleveland Browns, has become the short-term starter. Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt was looking for a spark as he continued to grow discouraged with the inconsistency of the offense under Leinart’s leadership.
“I realize we’re not game planning,” Whisenhunt claimed. “We’re not doing a lot so you’re going to have some of those situations more so than we’d like to have, but still that would be something we’d look to improve.” Leinart didn’t manage the demotion very well. He was expecting to resurrect a career that’s been a bomb since he lost the starting quarterback job to the currently retired Kurt Warner. Leinart hasn’t come close to living up to the buzz after he arrived at Arizona as a really touted 1st round draft pick.
“I’m frustrated and disappointed,” claimed Leinart. “I’ve been efficient. I’ve been accurate. I haven’t turned the ball over. I don’t know how we judge performance when you take 13 pass attempts to the other guy’s 40.” Leinart has seen limited action with the NFL online betting odds this preseason and was 10-13 in the 1st 2 competitions before the demotion however the majority of those passes were short range. As the entire Arizona offense was sluggish, neither Leinart or Anderson had the benefit of a productive running game.
“I’m going to keep grinding and keep fighting,” claimed Leinart. “Ultimately, I have to let my play do the talking. I’m frustrated and disappointed. I’m not really sure what’s being asked of me.” As the heir apparent to Warner, Leinart was anticipating to see more action in preseason. He still plans on starting in Arizona’s regular season starter with the NFL odds at St Louis on September 12.
“I don’t make these decisions and sometimes you don’t know why decisions are made,” claimed Leinart. “I still plan on starting opening week.”
As neither Leinart or Anderson isn’t on the same level as the retired future Hall of Famer, oddsmakers remain concerned about Arizona’s ability to beat the NFL odds without Warner.
