1. Motorcycles have less environmental impact
It is well documented that motorcycles do not cause as much environmental damage as cars do. Government’s Motorcycle Strategy of 2005 Smaller machines that dominate the urban/commuter sector tend to have CO2 emissions per km of less than half those of the average car due to their far greater fuel economy.
2. Motorcycles are Convenient
A number of studies have shown that you can travel much quicker when riding a motorbike than taking public transport, riding a bicycle or driving a car. You’re in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming.”
4. Motorcycles are much cheaper than other forms of transport
One of the main reasons to consider riding a motorcycle as oppose to driving a car is the simple fact that it is so much cheaper! There is a plethora of research to prove this. A You Gov survey carried out in 2009 revealed that 60 per cent of motorcycle commuters spent less than £10 on their weekly commute. This is particularly true when you compare this to the price of driving a car. In London for example all car drivers have to pay a congestion charge of £5 a day! In London too, parking charges are extraordinarily expensive for cars but only a couple of pounds or even free for bikes. You might be surprised how reasonable bikes, gear or cbt training are. Not to mention the amount you can save on fuel. With some many bikes achieving 60-70 miles per gallon and some scooters pushing 100+ mpg, it’s no wonder so many commuters choose to get to work on two wheels.
5. Motorcycles are Cool
Nobody can deny that motorcycle are the coolest way to get from point A to B! Aside from the fact that many celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Ewan Mcgreggor, Ben Afflec and Bill Bailey are all avid motorcycle enthusiasts, when someone walks into a bar or restaurant with a helmet under arm, they invariably exude a swagger with a sense of cool that one just can’t get from a car or bicycle.
