The teacup Pomeranian puppies are tiny, adorable pets that actually belong to the land of Pomerania. Now, Pomerania is a part of Germany as well as Poland. They have come down from the Spitz group. They cannot be any cuter with their tiny fox-like faces and powder puff coats. They are generally red and orange but they are available in other colors too.
The teacup Pomeranian puppies need a lot of care and attention. They have a thick double coat which can become matted too easily. So the owners of these pets have to spend large amount of time in brushing these fur. The ears as well as eyes of teacup Pomeranian puppies also get dirty very soon. So they have to be wiped out regularly.
The teacup Pomeranian puppies are tiny bundles of energy and double up as nice watchdogs too. Although they are small in size, they do not get frightened easily. They are very good in identifying things and sound in their surroundings. They do not like to remain alone for long hours and prefer that people pay attention to them. Their favorites are the elderly members in the house who can be with them the whole day and not the small children who play pranks with them.
Although Pomeranians are a cute, lovely breed, they are not without problems. They love to bark and if they are not trained well in their initial years, they tend to develop bad habits. But if they get a loving owner, they can understand when to bark and when to remain quiet. They can also become obstinate if they are not trained by an experienced person. Other big problem about this breed is their housebreaking. The poms should be kept in a restricted area with placing papers on the floor. They should be trained by taking them out when they get up. Disposable pads can also be used.
Poms get used to staying in all types of places whether these are apartments or small homes. Making them walk twice during the day is enough for their exercise. They like to be with other dogs. While female poms are demanding and moody, males are friendly and accommodating with other pets. The life span of a Pomeranian is about fifteen years and have a long life span.
