Six Weeks Pregnant – What to Expect

Some of the signs that will make you feel the presence of your baby inside you are discussed below. At this stage of time, your baby would be about 2 mm to 5 mm in length. This length is approximately half of the length of the bean. Your baby is at the stage of rapid development in this phase. The development in embryo is very rapid and this phase is known as embryonic period.
In this phase, the brain is undergoing with development at very rapid rate. The inner chambers are undergoing their formation at this stage. Brain’s size is very large as compared to its other body organs. The place where ears will mark their presence can also be noticed. Heart is also in the developing stage. In this stage, it is beating at the rate of about 150 heart beats pre minute. All other basic systems needed are also on the development stage. Respiratory system and digestive systems are the first one to develop.
It is obvious that some changes are also going to occur in your body. Your body is also witnessing various changes with the development of the embryo. First vital symptom, that you will notice is the gain weight during the six weeks. However, this may vary from woman to woman. There is no hard and fast rule regarding this. Some women gain more weight as compared to others while some do not gain weight at all. You will also find that your waist is getting bigger and bigger with each week as the development of embryo is taking place. You will also experience morning sickness. This is very common during the first trimester. You will find difficulty in even completing your household chores like simple brushing of teeth. So try to rest in the morning. Mood swings is another visible factor. Change if emotions and mood are very common and rapid in this phase.
