Many children look forward to having a bicycle of their own and as adults, we sometimes give in to our temptation to buy the best one in the store, whether we could afford it or not. Then, one day, we find out that someone else likes it better than we do, because they had stolen it from us.
Every year, hundreds of bicycles are stolen from their owners and only a very small percentage of that is ever returned to their rightful owners. Therefore, although the following suggestions cannot guarantee you that no one will steal yours, they will help to reduce the likelihood of it happening.
Lock It
This may seem obvious, but you will be surprise at the number of bikes that have been stolen because their owner fails to lock them.
When you are out, you may not think that there is a need to lock it because you would be out of the building in less that five minutes. However, it takes less that five minutes for someone to walk or ride away with it.
