Drinking Good Coffee Keeps You Healthy
Good coffee has been a delight for many folks since time immemorial; it’s a great jump-start to a lively day and perhaps the perfect beverage to hold both formal and friendly talks over. Lots of people enjoy coffee for its caffeine quality, some have gone beyond that and have become collectors of coffee brands or joined a coffee club or two. Nevertheless, coffee has had a role to play in different areas in our lives; in the social, economical and now the health area. A recent breakthrough made in coffee is the ability to prevent or regulate some common types of diseases that have been grappling many.
Good coffee can prevent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, prostate cancer, or radiation diseases. The latest in medical discovery shows that a certain component in coffee helps prevent the development and progression of Alzheimer’s disease in aging people. The chemical compound in coffee blends in with caffeine to stimulate a protective protein in the body known as G-CSF (granulocyte colony-stimulating factor). This protective protein has been known to hinder the development of diseases; some incurable, like Alzheimer’s. With this in mind, consuming coffee really isn’t a bad idea if we don’t want to forget our kids’ faces when we hit our 70’s.
The health benefits don’t end there, another finding in good coffee is that its antioxidant factors help prevent or reduce prostate cancer in men. Prostate cancer is a disease on the rise and has claimed the lives of many male patients in the long run. Now coffee gives hope to men as far as a research done in Harvard University shows; consuming coffee whether with caffeine or not gives the body the antioxidants that help reduce prostate cancer. Not all of us are able to supplement our bodies with zinc, often found in pumpkin seeds and keeps the prostate healthy, but we can make sure a cup of coffee will lessen our worries on our prostate killing us.
Good coffee has also been associated with eliminating radiation poisons in the body. The case of Fukushima is still fresh with us as nature brought back the scares of the harm radioactive components have to our bodies. Seaweed has been voted to be a great body detoxifier after exposure to radiation; now coffee enema, together with cilantro, has been added into the equation to detoxify the body. This combination is said to work faster and more effectively after any exposure to harmful radioactive material.
The best coffee is always organic; it’s free from toxins and garners excellent taste. If good coffee gives us chances of keeping our memory intact even in old age, prevents prostate cancer and even detoxifies our bodies from radiation, then having a cup regularly isn’t a bad idea. However we still have to watch out for the habit-forming traits in coffee; getting a balance between the two will serve us best.
