Pride and Vanity – The Root of All Evils
Greed, pride and vanity have constantly brought mankind to its knees. Historians have documented powerful men and great nations to fall. Unfortunately their social crimes led to destruction, poverty and chaos. Inevitably it can happen again depending on how apply what we have learned during those observant times. So please read the signs around you. It can be an inspiration to a better future.
Vanity is so secure in the heart of man that everyone wants to be admired. Even the infamous scientist Blaise Pascal admits to this. True enough we are all vain. We are competitive beings. However uncontrollable vanity can bring one to his destruction. So we should beware of its inevitable effects. Remember that what we sow is what we reap.
Complacency is born without virtue. Self-indulged individuals are frustrated craving for attention. Thus they tend to create senseless arguments leading others to frustration, anxiety, anger and depression. They will never listen to reason and their values are questionable thus discretion must be observed when dealing with them.
Read between the lines. The signs are evident. Many disciples, literary artists and historians have warned us about this monstrosity. It warns us fictitiously about its implication. However society has vainly observed this wrought thus dramatically our morals is questioned. Repeatedly we ignore its results thus costing us our souls. Wickedly we ponder upon the weak and battle the strong ones.
Cleopatra was devoured greatly by her greed and vanity. She was a vengeful queen that ruled over Egypt through conspiracy and deceit. She used her beauty to conquer the rulers of Rome thus leading her to her horrible death. She was so self-indulgent that she was cursed herself to death after Egypt was conquered by Rome. She was sentenced to doom putting her child in danger and adoption.
Unfortunate events can only result from complacency. No good will ever come to those who fails to recognize the vain reality that surrounds him. Lessen indulgence to make this a better world. Never fail to empathize with others. As the bible said we hold accountable for the burden of others thus we should put our desires aside.
